Privacy Policy

What Data I Collect

  • Technical site-visit data (device type, browser, approximate location from IP) comes through analytics services.
  • Data you provide yourself through the contact form: name, email, topic and message text. A one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) is stored with it, to protect the form from spam.
  • Reviews and ratings on exchange pages: the name or nickname, rating, text and date are published after moderation, while a star rating without text is counted at once and carries no name. A one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) is stored to protect against spam.
  • Google Analytics cookies: details in the “Cookies and Analytics” section below.

How I Use the Data

To improve the site, analyze traffic, and respond to your messages. I don’t sell personal data to third parties. Messages sent through the contact form are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted automatically.

Cookies and Analytics

The site itself does not set cookies for visitors. Only the services connected to the pages leave data in your browser:

  • Google Analytics 4: the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> tell visitors and sessions apart, so I can see which pages get read and where visitors come from. Per Google’s documentation they last up to two years.
  • Site theme: your choice of light or dark theme is kept in your browser’s storage (localStorage) and is not sent anywhere.

If you arrive from a Google ad, the page address contains a gclid parameter: Google Analytics uses it to count ad visits.

To stop data going to Google Analytics, block or delete cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on. Google processes the data in Google Analytics, see Google’s privacy policy.

Referral Links and Third-Party Services

Following a referral link to an exchange puts you under that exchange’s own privacy policy, not mine. I don’t share your personal data with exchanges: a click-through is tracked technically (via a link identifier), without passing along any of your personal data.

The contact form is protected from spam by Cloudflare Turnstile: when you send a message, Cloudflare receives technical data about your browser and your IP address to check that a person is filling in the form. Cloudflare’s privacy policy applies to that.

Your Rights

Under Ukraine’s Law on Personal Data Protection, you have the right to:

  • know what data of yours I process, for what purpose, and on what basis;
  • access your data and get a copy of what’s stored;
  • request correction of inaccurate or outdated data;
  • request deletion of your data if it was processed without a lawful basis;
  • withdraw previously given consent to processing at any time, without giving a reason;
  • object to processing if you believe it violates your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@etop.com.ua, and I’ll respond personally.
